I have tried adjusting the charge to raise the low side pressure, but in doing so would also raise the high side exponentially. (i.e. Increase the suction pressure by 20 psi, and the head pressure would jump as much as 150 psi)
May 5, 2016 · The SC might be normal , but the normal head for a r410 system w/ a 68* ambient should be closer to 300psi and the normal suction press should be closer to 110psi w/70* IDB. I installed a new 410a complete system with new Orfice coil and new lineset. 70 degrees on install date and initial start up. Suction pressure was 110 and high side of 280. It ran for about 15 minutes. I added a little freon and the high side shot up to 425.
